iPrint Automatic Login

Hi,

We're running iPrint on a NW6 Sp4 server, Client 4.90 Sp2 & iPrint 3.11
on the desktop.
Currently, when a user changes their password, they need to type in
their username and password, and select 'Remember my password'. Is there
anyway to get the iPrint client to automatically login with the user
credentials?

Thanks

Re: iPrint Automatic Login

Check this TID. It's not an exact description of your problem, but I
think some of the solution provided there will help.

Re: iPrint Automatic Login

I have the same question, but this TID is a solution to a different problem (which I first encountered and was able to resolve). When you setup a secure (ssl) printer, the users are prompted to login to that printer after they've already logged in to the network. Is there a way to pass their already-entered NDS info to the ssl printer so that the second login prompt doesn't come up every time?

Re: iPrint Automatic Login

The second login is via LDAP, so the existing login credential doesn't
get used. I don't remember -- and I don't use SSL here yet -- but if
you have the UniqueID attribute set in eDir, perhaps that will allow
the credential to pass. Maybe someone here can confirm that? In the
meantime I'll see if I can find out something more definite.
