iPrint - HyperV 2012R2 No Inteface Found

Hi All,

We are attempting to restore an iPrint server into Hyper-V 2012R2 that was running a few weeks ago. Everything looks good with the exception of the network card.

On startup, we have the error:
"eth0 No interface found failed"

Have verified there is a virtual network adapter assigned to the appliance. Are there some command line tricks to fix the network interface?

Since you reference Hyper-V by "iPrint server" do you mean iPrint
(virtual) Appliance?

My suspicion is that whilst you've assigned a virtual network
adapter it has a different MAC address from before so it's not
being found as eth0.

HTH.

Re: iPrint - HyperV 2012R2 No Inteface Found

Hi Simon,

Thank you Simon! That was the problem - for some reason the Appliance was detecting the active network interface then renaming the active one to ETH2. We had to force update the /etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules file so ETH2 was actually ETH0 then rebooted for it to work.

Also set the MAC to static in the network adapter advanced settings of the cluster manager.
