iPrint policy's through zenworks
Sorry for the cross post, but I posted this in the Zenworks Policy newsgroup, but didnt' get a reply.
I have a Zen7 workstation package with an iPrint policy on it. I applied it with the print driver defaults (which prints a banner page on every print job).
I want to change that setting within the driver, so I made an iprint driver profile, and stuck it on that printer. It works fine when I add that printer to a fresh machine, but I need to get it to apply to machines that have already installed those printers through the zen policy.
Will iPrint see the change in driver settings if I bump the version on the iprint policy? Is there a way to change the setting after the printer is installed?
TIA,
Adam

Ubnfortunately, iPrint currently doesn't have any functionality to recognize a profile or driver change. Therefore, if you want a new profile or driver to be applied, you need to use a "trick". Assume your server is a NetWare server, rename the pritner agent (just a minor change in the name is enough). This will trigger a pritner reinstall and thus use the new profile and driver.

Gotcha. Since not all the printers are installed via zen policy, I think the rename would cause more work than it would save for me. I'll just hit them one by one and change the setting... Thanks Marcel
