iPrint uploading ppd for Macintosh to broker??

Ok, what am I missing here. I installed iPrint on a 10.4.4 Mac. Using Safari
it see that the iPrint clint is installed. Tried to install HP4050 print
from iPrint. It says there is no driver. Fair enough. I found the Linux /
macintosh tab in the broker. I cannot upload drivers from the Mac to the
broker. I have no file to up load the drive to the briker. If I down load a
HP mac driver to my pc I cannot open it. The broker is looking for a .ppd
file.

So, what is the magic that I am missing?

You will have to upload you PPD files from a Windows machine I'm afraid.
You can find PPD's for most HP printers on www.linuxprinting.org

You can also upload drivers from a linux client using Mozilla/firefox using the "add from system" command in iManager. This will display a list of ppd drivers which work on both Linux and Machintosh. Note that "foomatic" support for Machintosh is not installed by default, so it is recommended to use a "postscript" drivers instead--unless you install foomatic support on your individual machintosh workstations.
