iprntman for Windows not working with OES11

Hello,

I try using iprntman for windows downloaded from my OES11 box, but I get this error:

Error: class does not exist (Class not found)
Exception encountered in \w32\ow_cvs\src\client\OW_CIMXMLCIMOMHandle.cpp on line 329

Using iprntman for linux is working fine.
I wondering about the versions.
iprntman for windows is version 1.0.20051121
iprntman for linux is version 2.0.1

On an OES2 box iprntman for windows is the same version 1.0.20051121
The linux version is 1.1.0 build 20111109

Could it be, that OES11 will ship with the wrong iprntman for windows?

regards
Chris

1.

Add iPrntman to your Windows Environment Path

Right-Click My Computer -> properties -> Advanced tab ->
Environment Variables button
Under System variables, double-click Path
Add the following text to the end of the Variable value text box:
;C:\Program Files\Novell\iPrint\iprintman
Click OK, OK, OK

2. The iPrntMan Windows executable has not been tested on Windows 7.

3.

iprntman.exe, however, (which is installed to a Windows workstation and
is listed in the "Upload print drivers to Driver Store using Windows
iPrntman executable" has not been developed by Novell for several years.
Novell has no intention to continue development for this Windows
utility. There is no support for this utility, but will continue to ship
with the server "as-is".

Re: iprntman for Windows not working with OES11

The iprntman is in the environment path and I am running it on Windows XP.
The error

Error: class does not exist (Class not found)
Exception encountered in
\w32\ow_cvs\src\client\OW_CIMXMLCIMOMHandle.cpp on line 329

is shown, when I run the iprntman with the "-v" option like this:
"iprntman printer CAG_MFP -i -s 172.x.x.x -u admin -v"

The Server is an OES11 Server with SP1, not OES2.
When I run the same command in the linux shell on the OES11 server it works.
The Password is also correct. Whenn using a wrong password I get "Error: Unable to process request: Unauthorized" as error.

In the OES11 documentation you can read the following:

"NOTE:The iPrntman utility has been rewritten for OES11, and it's functionality has been scaled down compared to the iPrntman utility available on OES2. If you are looking for a functionality that is unavailable, please contact Novell Technical Support."

But I don't miss a functionality, because the linux iprntman works but the windows did not.
So my question is:

is there an updatet version for the windows version of iprntman too?
