ndpsm yielding cpu

I have a netware 6.5 sp 5 with os5a and update 1 to sp5. - Prior to these upgrades, the server was doing the same thing - ndpsm.nlm hangs the processor, and the server never abends, just gets slower. The monitor shows the server at a pretty steady 50% when this happens.

The broker screen was having a 946 error about setting the share attribute on a file added to the resdir directory. Novell site says the cause is that rights to that directory have been modified. The action to take is to make sure the resource manager has the appropriate rights. The broker has full rights to the resdir directory if that is what the action is referring to.

Thank you
