printer not bound

Hi!

We have NW 5.1 SP7, NDPS. When loading ndpsm, the server shows followin

VIPU1:

What should I write to the hosts file? Printer name? Server name? Or what?

Thanks in advance

Well, that depends on how you defined your printers.
I suggest you post your PADBTXT.CSV file (found in the NDPS\xxxxxxxx.PSM
directory of your server). This will show the exact definitions you used
to create your printers.

Cannot find such file in directory V:\NDPS\428B0A17.PSM. How else can I
describe "my definitions" to printers? I created the printer with
nwadm32, and in NDS that printer object hp_lj_1320 (+ JetDirect box)
shows (in NDPS Printer Advanced Features)
Printer State: Gateway Not Bound to Printer Agent
Previous Printer State: Idle
Port Handler Executable and Parameters: PH PORT=LPR
HOSTADDRESS=10.11.2.10 PRINTERNAME=RAW (at first I tried default
PASSTHROUGH)
PDS Executable and Parameters: PDS
Printer State Severity: 2
Printer Enabled: 1

What to do? I think there's no panic, because the users can print direct
to IP-port.

Re: printer not bound

You are using the old obselete PH.NLM gateway. You should use PACVRT.EXE
to convert your NDSP configuration to using the new NDPSGW.NLM gateway:
