printer queue & old jobs


Hi,

I recently set up a Lexmark T642 printer via iManager. Everything went
smoothly. The printer is set up and working nicely.

There are a few problems though:

1. From Windows, I can't go into the printer queue and see the jobs. The
message at the top says "Failed to open. Retrying." I am set up as a
manager for the printer.

2. On the Novell server, the printer is always in the "Printing" status.

3. Even though jobs come through the printer without any problem, the
list of current jobs in the printer is building. If I hover over the
printer in Windows in the printers folder, it says "Documents: 6" and
increases every time I print.

Any thoughts on what I might be missing here?

Could you please give some more information like:

- what server OS and SP level are you using?

- what type of client (NDPS or iPrint)?

- what client version?

- Did you enable secure printing, and if yes, what is your security level
for the printer?

- what gateway are you using and what is your gateway load string?
