printer security level settings problem

hi, all

we have an NetWare6 ServicePack2

if I want delete a print job from myself or another user I get the
following
message :

Errorgroup: iPrint-Client
Errorcode: 1027

but i have Admin Rights and i am in the Manager and Operator Group
too.
Our Printer Security Level is Medium.

When setting security level to low everything works fine ...

Has somebody an idea the problem could be?!

it's quite urgent ....!

thanx

Re: printer security level settings problem

I know this isn't any help but I'm having the exact same problem.

May I ask: are you using the HP NDPS gateway?

printer security level settings problem

Funny... we are having the exact same problem. We just upgraded from
4.11
to 6 a few weeks ago and I did run accross something addressing this problem in the KB (unfortunately I cannot find it again). What I read

said that this problem should be resolved in SP2. I just installed
SP2
this morning and I still have the same problem (plus I noticed your
post
said you are running SP2) so that obviously doesn't fix it.

I am able to manage our printers using NWAdmin, I just get this error
when
I try accessing via http://servername:631/ipp. Is this the same
problem
you are having? If I run accross a solution I will be sure to post
it.
If you have already fixed your problem I would appreciate knowing what
you
did. Good luck!

Re: printer security level settings problem

Hi!

Yes that's the problem.
We can administrate the printers from MWAdmin but the mani focus is,
that
our users can manage their printjobs themself. But when you set the
security
level to low everybody can do everything with printjobs that don't
belong to
him.
But on security level medium nobody is able to manage whatever with
the
ipp-web-interface ...

that's our main problem and of very high priority (cauz I need it to
accompish my project exam for absolving my apprenticeship 😞 )

thx
