"There is no Active Print Manager on the Source server!"
When migrating iPrint from NW65SP5 to OES2 with Yast "Migrate iPrint Services" tool, I get the Error:
"There is no Active Print Manager on the Source server!"
How can I fix that?
Is it that I have to update NW65 to SP7?
In the "OES 2: iPrint for Linux Administration Guide" SP5 is required as a prerequistite.
Anyone else fighting with that?

The errors in the log-files came from the eDir-servername. I changed the "DSServer1" to an active NetWare Server with a Master replica.
After the store an the manager running - the same error when trying to migrate Printers via yast:
"There is no Active Print Manager on the Source server!"

Did you update the iPrint migration tool? That update figures as an
optional patch on the update channel. So you have to explicitely select it
for it to be updated.

Actually... I found a way around the issue.
The old fashion SCMT kit allows you to migrate PAs between Netware and Linux. It seems to go a good job of it too.

I had the same problem.
In my case, the user I was logging into eDir with existed in a different O than the print manager object. There was another PSM in the admin O, which was confusing.
Once I logged in as a user in the same O as the PSM, that all worked fine
Hope this helps someone
Novell really needs to do a better job of testing these more complicated scenarios. Not everyone has a single Organization with an admin at the root. If we're dependent on LDAP to work, then it should be flexible enough to work across more complicated environments
