Hi,

Any way to rename printer agent ?
Any way to rename pa without uninstall and re-install the new pa on client
workstations ?
Is Server Consolidate Migration Tool allow to do that ?

Re: rename printer agent

go to the NDPS Manager and just rename the printer from the server
console. The clients will auto-detect the change and update accordingly.

IIRC that requires agent restart. I also change eDir object name just to
be sure they are match to each other.

Re: rename printer agent

Is there a way to do this in OES SP2, or OES2 ?

I'd be eternally grateful for a solution to this!

Re: rename printer agent

I have never restarted the PA after a rename, and workstation has always picked up the change for me ;O)

I agree with your comment about renaming the printer object.

Re: rename printer agent

Hi,
Did you find a way to rename a printer in iPrint running on OES2 Linux?
How could I do that?

Thanks
