Recording using Firefox - slow response

ART Version 5.40.4.2127, FireFox 80.0 (64-bit)

I am attempting to record steps for ServiceManager using the Firefox browser. The response time in the recorder is very slow, taking minutes to record one step. Without the recorder on, the response from SM is fast. These same steps in Chrome/IE, when recording, is very good. Issue only occurs in Firefox.

Hello Kate

can you confirm your OS and the version of Firefox. I will give this a test here.

Are there certain interactions that record slowly such as keyboard rather than mouse clicks?

Note: Firefox will more oftern than not be slower than IE. However I do use FFregularly and usually works for me.

Hi Kate

we do not officially recommend Firefox for ART recordings, we have spotted issues.

Can you please confirm why you cannot use Chrome or Internet explorer?

FF is the only browser the client has that does not have SSO - my recordings are done using anonymous users.

Hi

I can reproduce the slow response in Firefox, and have used the latest recorder update to see if this helps but it is still significantly slower.

However IE works fine.

I am afraid I did not full understand the reason regarding SSO, happy to chat about this, further but I afraid the best option woudld be to use the recommended and see if there is a way of using this.
